Who will benefit from these talks, courses and workshops?
The purpose of this our course content is to empower everyone, regardless of their qualifications, to support themselves, their loved ones, and the children they teach. Many available courses are limited to individuals with specific qualifications in human development, which is not beneficial, especially when teachers or parents are often the first to recognize when something is amiss or when they and those around them are not reaching their full potential. Engaging directly with others on a daily basis means that the tools you acquire will not only enable you to make informed decisions but also grant you the opportunity to create meaningful, lasting change in your life and the lives of those around you by consistently applying these tools.
Can talks help parents?
Open days and parents’ evenings are great opportunities to help parents support their children at home. Many parents feel frustrated due to a lack of knowledge about addressing their children’s needs, especially with the demands of modern life requiring full-time work. Consequently, they increasingly rely on schools for support. Social media is filled with parents seeking guidance. These events also showcase the school’s commitment to involving parents in their children’s education. Parents often feel overwhelmed and may need help with discipline, routines, lifestyle choices, and academic support. We encourage you to suggest topics for discussion, fostering collaboration between parents and teachers to benefit students.
What kind of talks are available to teachers?
There are excellent short courses, workshops, and longer programmes available, but talks also provide valuable resources for teachers, helping them rediscover their motivation and understand the essential role of this work. The insights we need often aren’t covered in traditional teaching textbooks. I can attest to this from my own experience with two teaching qualifications, as well as through a colleague who runs a teacher training institute that introduces these crucial tools and knowledge that are often missing.
What are the best courses for teachers?
Each course focuses on specific topics and tools for educators, but I strongly believe that those designed to help teachers identify potential issues before they escalate into learning challenges are essential. The courses I consider the best starting point for this work are Hands On and a brief course titled 2 Left Feet. Additionally, we offer other courses that assist teachers in interpreting behaviour, understanding neurodiversity, and more. It would be beneficial for any principal or teacher interested to explore these courses or reach out to us for further information. We are continually developing new content, and schools can request presentations on any topics they deem important. We also encourage teachers and parents to participate in our free webinars or attend sessions through AIMS, as these opportunities enhance our knowledge, and knowledge is indeed power.
What do I get by doing these courses?
These courses are designed to empower you with the tools necessary to enhance your life. Additionally, we offer a learning pathway for those interested in becoming educational kinesiologists and movement facilitators. Certificates are awarded, which can be included in your CV, and certain courses also provide SACE CPTD points.
